We’re honored to be voted the #3 Best Winery in Oregon by readers of The Oregonian. This recognition is more than a milestone—it’s a celebration of the community that has embraced Kristof Wines and the land that makes it possible. It energizes us to keep pushing forward with even greater creativity, deeper connection, and bold aspirations. Thank you to our magical winemaker, Adam Campbell at Elk Cove, and to everyone who has tasted, toasted, and believed in what we’re building. Cheers to what’s next.
Read the Oregonian article here:
Journalist Nicholas Kristof and his wife Sheryl WuDunn, a business executive, planted eight acres of cider apples and 15 acres of pinot noir and chardonnay vines on the family farm in 2019 and 2020. Their wines are “fruity yet smooth and sophisticated,” according to one reader. Another person said they love the chardonnay, calling it the “the most balanced, crisp and bright” chardonnay they have ever tasted. That reader also said, “The rosé is simply delicious — summer in a glass!”

Paul Gregutt gives 2023 Kristof Pinot Noir 94 points: Scents and flavors of blueberry, blackberry, marionberry and black cherry pile on, accented with dusty brown spices. 2023 Kristof Chardonnay earns 93 points, and 2024 Kristof Rosé earns 92. Thanks to our winemakers, Adam Campbell/Elk Cove for the Pinot and Chardonnay, and Anthony King, for the Rosé!
