Gravenstein Cider
Gravenstein Cider
If you like the aroma of apple pie, try our Gravenstein Cider: crisp, succulent expression of one of America’s most beloved heirloom apples. With its luminous golden hue, gentle sparkle and near-taste of apple pie, this single-varietal cider captures the bright acidity and aromatic charm that have made Gravensteins a favorite for generations—especially in pies and old orchards.
These Gravensteins come from trees grown by Bob Bansen, a longtime family friend of Nick’s, as well as a few older trees we’ve tended on the farm. Grown with care and picked at peak ripeness, they offer fragrant, juicy character with notes of green apple, citrus peel, and white flowers. The result is a cider that’s lower in tannin than our Orchard blend but bursting with freshness—finishing with a clean, zesty lift.
Gravensteins aren’t often used in commercial cider, but we’ve long believed in their potential. Fermented to dryness, this cider is both nostalgic and unexpectedly refined.
This is a special treat for sunny afternoons. Serve chilled, sip slowly, and let the Gravenstein do the talking.
